BETA- GAMMA
Exclusive Keyways For Locksmiths

 
BETA - BETA keyways are designed for use by a locksmith. There are two types of BETA keyways.
BETA Regional - Locksmith is assigned one sidebar (2 key sections) and one or more states as their operating boundary. The sidebar code and coded key blanks will not be reassigned in that region. Purchase requirement is $3,000 in saleable merchandise.
BETA National - Locksmith is assigned one sidebar (2 key sections) for the entire country. Purchase requirement is $10.000 in saleable merchandise.

GAMMA - GAMMA locksmith is assigned one sidebar (2 key sections) for a smaller geographical area. This keyway is shared with other dealers throughout the region. Purchase requirement is $1,000 in saleable merchandise.

The following features pertain to all BETA and GAMMA programs:

  • No special key cutting machine required
  • Locksmith creates his own codes
  • Each sidebar has two keyblanks (key sections)
  • Contract between distributor and locksmith
  • All merchandise locksmith purchases is saleable
  • Sidebars are interchangeable between all ASSA products

KEY CONTROL - ASSA keyblanks are protected by two U.S. Patents: No. 274 302, No. 278 880

You should insist on seeing the patent(s) for any high security key which you are considering using.

 

 

PHYSICAL RESISTANCE

 

 The ASSA 6000 is designed to withstand any form of physical attack including drilling, prying, driving or pulling. Its free-spinning guard collars protect it from pipe wrenching while its hardened inserts guard against drill attack. The 6000 comes equipped with the ASSA Hardhat™ to protect it from outside through-the-door-attack known as "ice picking." Its solid brass and steel construction guarantees its ruggedness and defies any form of physical attack.

MANIPULATION

 

 The ASSA 6000 High Security Deadbolt incorporates the patented ASSA High Security Cylinders. Our unique dual-locking mechanism renders the lock virtually pick proof. The ASSA High Security Cylinder lists six separate United States patents which protect the unique features that eliminate any form of manipulation. The deadlocking bolt assures a positive close when thrown to engage the strike.

UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES

 

 The ASSA 6000 High Security Deadbolt has been listed by Underwriters Laboratories and has passed the UL 437 tests. These widely acclaimed tests measure effectiveness against picking, drilling and physical resistance. In addition the ASSA High Security Cylinders are also listed by UL for high security.
